Arbo Windows is actively operating in the industrial zone of the Freeport of Ventspils

Soon five years will have passed since the company Arbo Windows is operating in the industrial zone of the Freeport of Ventspils at Kustes dambis 32; the company manufactures wooden windows, doors, sliding mechanisms and insulating glass units.

The company is experiencing rapid growth

Currently around 100 employees, including administrative staff, ensures production in two shifts. Considering the company's long-term plans, a lot of investments were made directly towards the employees during the first years of operation. One of the toughest challenges of the company is related to workforce — to be able to motivate and retain employees while attracting new, knowledgeable and willing-to-work professionals.

The company is currently investing heavily in modernizing its existing factory, which will be as fully automated as possible, but it is also planning to expand its premises.

Adapts to demand

Currently work is being carried out regarding product standardisation to increase production output. Jānis Lasmanis, Chairman of the Board of Arbo Windows: "We strive to develop the standard products characteristic for each appropriate market and to think about the fact, whether the products in these markets match. For example, the product manufactured for Sweden and Norway largely coincides. We adapt to the demand of the export market. If we produce something for Sweden, we produce a typical Swedish window by completely using raw materials from Scandinavia.”

In comparison to 2017, Arbo Windows has achieved a 53% increase in production last year, which is a rather significant increase.

Position in Latvia and foreign countries strengthened

Arbo Windows has established itself in Latvia and become one of the largest manufacturers for the local market.

Meanwhile, the company has strengthened its position in four export markets — Sweden, Norway, Great Britain and Japan. Arbo Windows is one of the largest exporters to Japan in the Baltics.

Products for each export market are also certified through factory inspections.

Most or about 90% of the manufactured products are exported, which is also the company's target.
