Central Asia countries are interested in the cooperation possibilities with Ventspils Freeport

During this week Ventspils Freeport Authority is participating in the 22nd international transport and logistics exhibition TransKazhstan/TransLogistica 2018, which takes place in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The main purpose of the exhibition is to present the advantages of Ventspils Freeport Authority and the possible collaboration in the freight transportation as well as to attract investors to create new production units in Ventspils. The potential partners showed interest in the possibility to develop cooperation and they welcomed Ventspils offer.

The exhibition in Kazakhstan is the first event of the sector where Latvia is participating under the brand VIA Latvia that is uniting all Latvian transport sector. It includes intersection points of Latvian transport sector – Freeport of Rīga, Freeport of Ventspils, Freeport of Liepāja, international airport Rīga and Latvian railway network. Latvian stand was evaluated as the best stand design in the whole exhibition.

Latvian stand was represented by the biggest delegates of transport and logistics sector: the ports of Ventspils, Rīgaand Liepāja, Latvijas dzelzceļš, international airport Rīga, airBaltic and enterprises Riga Container terminal, LDz Loģistika, A&A Logistic, Sigis, Alpa Centrums.

TransKazakhstan/Translogistica 2018 is one of the largest exhibitions in Central Asia on transport and logistic service and technologies. There are more than 80 companies participating in the exhibition from such countries as Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, China, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Finland and South Korea.
