JSC Ventspils Grain Terminal is a universal handling terminal of agricultural products with a simultaneous storage capacity of 100,000 tons and an annual capacity of tracks for more than 2,000,000 tons.

As a result of the investment project implemented in 2017, a new two-section warehouse was built, increasing the terminal's capacity and annual throughput capacity, as well as supplementing the nomenclature of processed cargo. In addition to all types of grain cargo, it is also possible to process other cargo of agricultural products and their processing products such as canola, flax, sunflower seeds and oil meal, corn, soybeans etc.

Integrated management system of the company has been certified as compliant with the international standards ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001: 2015.

Handling capacity

 Loading of the vessel is more than 1,000 t/h (depending on the physical characteristics of the cargo)
Cargo storage

Can storage more than 100,000 t simultaneously:

  • 11 silo type warehouses;
  • universal two-section warehouse for cargo storage on the ground;
  • an opportunity to store different types of groupage cargo separately.
Cargo deadweight DWT

PANAMAX type vessels up to 75,000 t

Total length of berth is 288 m, depth - 14.5 m.
Railway

Universal unloading unit (productivity up to 120 grain cars daily and up to 100 automobiles daily).

Universal loading unit for cars and road vehicles (productivity 2,800 tons daily). 

Unloading unit for automobiles (productivity 3,000 tons daily).
