SIA Ventplac is one of the leading pulpwood, wood chip, wood bark, stone chipping and peat transhipment stevedoring companies of the ports of the Baltic Sea. Main Ventplac regions of operation include the Baltic ports and North Sea ports in the Scandinavian countries, Germany and Great Britain. Ventplac deals with the storage and handling of round timber, its products and other bulk cargo and is a significant part of the Scandinavian producersā logistics chain of cellulose.
Thanks to the infrastructure development project, which was co-financed by the EU Cohesion Fund and successfully carried out by Free Port of Ventspils Authority, since 2014, Ventplac continues its operation in the new 12-hectare Dry bulk terminal. Terminal infrastructure contains two (8 m deep and 150 m long) berths, as well as a 12.9 ha territory with mixed surface with access roads and railway. The annual output of the terminal is 800 000 t, and it is designed for Minibulkers type vessels (up to 10 000 t DW).
