Education: Ventspils University College, master’s degree in business management; participation in study and exchange programs in Germany, Belgium, China and Israel.
 
Professional experience:
  • Employed at the Freeport of Ventspils Authority since 2001: initially, as a marketing specialist, then, since 2003, as the head of the Marketing and Development Division, and since 2014, as deputy chairman and head of the Marketing and Development Division;
  • Since 2005, board member of the Ventspils High Technology Park;
  • Since 2013, member of the Business Assistance Board of Ventspils City Council;
  • Since 2020, member of the Advisory Council for the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences;
  • In 2012–2021, member of the supervisory council of the Business, Innovation and Regional Development Centre at the Ventspils University of Applied Sciences;
  • In 2019, member of the work group in charge of developing the ‘Competitiveness and financial well-being of companies’ priority of the Cross-Sectoral Coordination Centre National Development Plan for 2021–2027.
  • In 2016–2019, member of the Advisory Council for the Ventspils Vocational Technical School;
  • In 2014–2016, member of the Kurzeme Regional Council of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
  • In 2009–2014, chairman of the Aid Allocation Board at SIA ‘Kurzemes Biznesa inkubators’.
Awards: The Award of Ventspils City Council 2015 for the active investors attraction to the city, the development of Business-incubator and targeted the Freeport of Ventspils industrial sector development.
