Ventamonjaks Co., Ltd. is the largest terminal in the Baltic Sea for the export and import of liquid ammonia, which is located in the non-freezing deepwater Freeport of Ventspils. The designed capacity of the terminal is 1 million tons annually.

Ventamonjaks Co., Ltd. is a modern, developed infrastructure and installations that allows us to increase the handling capacity up to 1.5 million tons annually. Deepwater berth with a working draft of 14.2 metres, is located in the protected inner aquatorium of the port, which allows us to attend tanker vessels with a tonnage of 115 thousands of tons without interruption. Modern ammonia tap trestles allows us to attend up to 250 rail tank wagons daily.

The terminal has been granted a Category B polluting activity permit No. VE16IB0013.

The company in 2017 has certified the Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001. 

Handling capacity
  • unloading of ammonia from rail tank wagons 90 t/h;
  • loading of ammonia to rail tank wagons 600 - 1200 t/h.
Cargo storage The storage of a product is implemented in 2 (two) isothermic reservoirs with a total maximum volume of 54,381 t.
Cargo deadweight DWT 4,000 – 38,000 t
Railway Modern ammonia tap trestles allows us to attend up to 250 rail tank wagons daily.
