For the purpose of partial compensation for the costs caused by the inflation, the Board of the Freeport of Ventspils has decided to increase on average by 8% port fees and service fees at the Port of Ventspils. Even after the changes to become effective as of 1 January 2019, fees of the Port of Ventspils will still be the lowest on the eastern shore of the Baltic Sea, thus providing the most competitive conditions for the private companies for operation at the Port of Ventspils.
Electrical system manufacturer HansaMatrix Ventspils, working in the Freeport of Ventspils industrial zone since 2005, experienced record-high level turnover in the past year and currently manufactures more than 100 thousand production units per month. Requests for the company‚Äôs services are rapidly increasing.
The German company Hidraulik Bauteile GmbH has significantly expanded the scope of his subsidiary since its launch ten years ago in the industrial area of Ventspils Freeport. Initially, it was a company that produced hydraulic parts for Bucher Municipal municipal vehicles.
Bucher Municipal has been operating in the Freeport of Ventspils Authority for 12 years and has rapidly expanded its volume of production. A few weeks ago, a new production line of compact municipal machine C201 was launched. This development has allowed to start completing the project Spirit implemented by the international Bucher Industries Group.
Lighthouses have always served as a warning to ships in the sea showing the closeness of the coast and providing other important information, nowadays lighthouses are also interesting historical, cultural and tourism objects. Ventspils Freeport Authority takes care of OviŇ°i, UŇĺava, and AkmeŇÜrags lighthouses. Those are also the only lighthouses in Latvia that are open for visitors.
