On April 26, Prime Minister Evika Siliņa visited Gothenburg together with a delegation of Latvian businessmen to discuss cooperation and investment opportunities in Latvia. As part of the visit, a STENA GROUP seminar on investment opportunities in Latvia was also held, which gathered a wide range of interest from Swedish entrepreneurs from various fields.
Ventspils Freeport was represented on the visit by the Board Member Arturs Zandersons and Deputy Head of the Marketing and Development Department, Public Relations Manager Inga Ievina.
STENA LINE is one of the largest cooperation partners of the Freeport of Ventspils. Last year, the company acquired the right to provide terminal services in Ventspils, establishing STENA LINE PORTS VENTSPILS. The cargo transported by ferries between Latvia and Sweden is currently almost a fifth of the total volume of cargo in the port. Regular ferry traffic is an important element for locating exportable production in Ventspils and for productive cooperation between the two regions in the future, developing new projects.
