Kurzemes granulas Ltd. is one of the largest locally owned pellet manufacturing companies in Latvia. The company produces high quality industrial and premium (DINplus, ENplusA1, A2) grade pellets, about 75,000 tonnes per year. Around 70% of the production is exported. Industrial pellets are delivered by ship to power stations, thermal power stations and boiler houses in Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, Great Britain, the Netherlands and other countries. Premium pellets are sold in Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and other countries, where they are used for heating in households and small businesses. The company has around 30 employees.
