PET SCIENCE DEVELOP

SIA “Pet Science Develop” is a wet pet food manufacturing company established in 2024. The factory specializes in producing premium-quality food for dogs and cats.

Currently, construction works and equipment installation are underway. The factory is scheduled to be commissioned in December 2025, with production expected to start at the beginning of 2026.

Total investments in the project exceed EUR 15 million. In the first stage, the planned production capacity will reach 10,000 tonnes per year. In the second stage, scheduled for 2027, the volume is expected to double to 20,000 tonnes. Most of the production will be intended for export.

Pet Science Develop products will be made exclusively from high-quality ingredients—meat, fish, and vegetables—and will be produced without artificial preservatives or colorings. Production will be organized in compliance with the highest pet food quality standards, using modern technologies and equipment to ensure the highest quality at every stage of the production process.

The European Union pet food market reached EUR 10–12 billion in 2023, with an expected annual growth rate of 4–5%. The fastest-growing segment is premium-quality pet food, in which SIA “Pet Science Develop” aims to strengthen its position.

In parallel with its core operations, Pet Science Develop plans to invest in research activities. Initial discussions have already begun regarding regular cooperation with the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies.
