A new production line launched
Bucher Municipal has been operating in the Freeport of Ventspils Authority for 12 years and has rapidly expanded its volume of production. A few weeks ago, a new production line of compact municipal machine C201 was launched. This development has allowed to start completing the project Spirit implemented by the international Bucher Industries Group.
The grain terminal has become versatile
After its modernisation, the Ventspils Grain Terminal, which has
been operating in the Freeport of Ventspils for 12 years, has
not only significantly increased its capacity but can now also
handle and transfer a much larger range of agricultural products.
Shipping vessels and industrial heritage
Lighthouses have always served as a warning to ships in the sea showing the closeness of the coast and providing other important information, nowadays lighthouses are also interesting historical, cultural and tourism objects. Ventspils Freeport Authority takes care of Oviši, Užava, and Akmeņrags lighthouses. Those are also the only lighthouses in Latvia that are open for visitors.

timetable that is more frequent and more adapted to client needs
and it also provides a long-term growth-orientated solution with a
new timetable.
Bucher Municipal opens two new assembly lines in Ventspils
Two new assembly lines were opened at Ventspils factory of the
manufacturer of municipal vehicles Bucher Municipal. From now on
new generation two- and four-cylinder street sweeping machines,
which previously were manufactured at Butcher Municipal’s factories
in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, will be manufactured in
Ventspils.
Most extensive project regarding reconstruction and building of access roads of the Port of Ventspils is finished
Freeport of Ventspils Authority has finished the six years long
project regarding reconstruction and building of access roads of
the terminals of the Port of Ventspils and industrial zones. 48
sections of streets and squares of Ventspils at the total length of
28.7 kilometres and at the area of 14.6 hectares respectively have
been re-built and restored. Nearly 36 million euro have been
invested in the streets and squares of Ventspils within this
project financed by the EU Cohesion Fund.

Access road reconstruction going on in 15 objects this year
Project Access Roads to Terminals and Industrial Areas at the
Freeport of Ventspils , which implementation was started in
2010 and will be completed by the end of this year, allowed not
only to improve the infrastructure of port and industrial areas,
but also made convenient environment for the inhabitants of the
city.
Freeport of Ventspils represented in TRANSRUSSIA 2015
This week the largest and most comprehensive international
transport, logistics and Supply Chain Management exhibition
„Transrussia 2015” is taking place Moscow. Among more than 35
Latvian companies, Freeport of Ventspils is also be represented.
Cargo turnover of the Freeport of Ventspils in 2014 – 26.2 million tons
The Freeport of Ventspils has closed the year of 2014 with the
cargo turnover of 26.2 million tons. The second half of the
year was complicated for several terminals of the Freeport of
Ventspils, and the forecasts for 2015 are wary.
