Hydro-structure engineer Boriss Lobkovs is a legendary man, he has the information about all the hydro-technical objects and facilities built in Ventspils Freeport during the second half of the last century. He also supervised the construction works of buildings that were built later on and did not spare his advice during the recent reconstruction of Sothern Breakwater.

Hydro-structure engineer Boriss Lobkovs is a legendary man who has been working in Ventspils port for more than 40 years. He knows nearly everything about every hydro-technical and other structures that have been built in Ventspils Freeport during the last half of a century.

The company TC Steel operates in the territory of the Freeport of Ventspils and manufactures large size containers of various volume for transportation of solid waste and bulk cargoes, as well as truck platforms for transportation of construction machinery. Products of TC Steel have become widely recognisable in the Scandinavian and European markets. The company is among ten largest automotive companies in Latvia.

During the last three years, Latvia shows rapid heap in car manufacturing. Ventspils is becoming the leader of Latvian automotive industry. According to the rating compiled by the Bank of Latvia, the list of ten largest companies of this industry includes three companies operating in the territory of the Freeport of Ventspils – Bucher Municipal, Malmar Sheet Metal and TC Steel.

The new Russian entrepreneur Emil Khamitov chose Ventspils for his business development because of the advantages and opportunities provided by Ventspils Freeport Authority and Ventspils Municipality. Within only a few months the production of this new company in Ventspils Emil Company Europe is already recognized in Latvia and our city.

Since the beginning of this year, in the industrial zone of Ventspils Freeport, established in the territory of the former fur-farm in Talsu iela 200, are now operating a cold store which is an indispensable help for the local fisheries.

The branch office of Hansa-Flex Hidraulika has been operating in Ventspils for 17 years, expanding its assortment and premises in Fabrikas iela 5 and creating many new workplaces for the inhabitants of Ventspils.

During this week Ventspils Freeport Authority is participating in the 22^nd international transport and logistics exhibition TransKazhstan/TransLogistica 2018, which takes place in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

In the middle of next year, Ventspils High Technology Park infrastructure will be complemented by two new public parking lots with 133 parking spots. This is based on the agreement concluded between Ventspils Freeport Authority and Central Finance and Contracting Agency on the implementation of the project for reconstruction of Pārventa district.

Last week, the delegation of Ventspils Freeport authority participated in an event devoted to investment attraction “Invest in” in Shanghai, China, to inform about the opportunities of industrial development in China.
